How to Save and Upload the Original Email
Upload the original email file only. Screenshots and forwarded emails do not include the full headers needed for investigation.
Outlook Desktop
- Open the suspicious email.
- Click File.
- Click Save As.
- Save it as .msg or .eml.
- Upload the saved file here.
Outlook Web
- Open the suspicious email.
- Click the three dots (...).
- Select Download message.
- Upload the downloaded .eml file here.
Important: Do not forward the email. Do not upload only a screenshot. The original .eml or .msg file keeps the email headers required for investigation.
